The par 3 12th hole plays back across a hazard to a green guarded by a large bunker on the backside. Using a short iron off the tee here should give you a good chance to put the ball close and make a good score. Leaving the ball short of the green may leave your second shot unplayable or at the very least a difficult up and down for par.
